Kathy Geller, Ph.D., and Kristine Jacquin, Ph.D., Appointed to New Dean Roles
Two Fielding leaders have been appointed to new roles.
Kathy Geller, Ph.D., has been appointed as Dean of the Faculty. In this role, she will provide leadership and strategic direction to support the experience of Fielding faculty across the professional life cycle, fostering a vibrant academic community that promotes excellence in faculty teaching, scholarly work, and service. She works in partnership with the Dean of Curriculum and Program Innovation, Program Directors, and the Senate Leadership Committee to meet curricular needs and program excellence.
“As the Dean of Faculty, I look forward to creating a shared Fielding faculty experience across all the academic programs,” said Dr. Geller. “By focusing on the professional life cycle of faculty, my goal is to enhance the experiences of our vibrant academic community and further support excellence in teaching, scholarly work, and service! Being in a newly created Dean’s role provides an exciting opportunity to collaborate with members of the Provost’s Council, Program Directors, faculty, and the Academic Senate as we navigate the institutional change and transitions that higher education institutions in general and Fielding in specific are experiencing.”
Kristine Jacquin, Ph.D., has been appointed as Dean of Curriculum and Innovation. Her responsibilities will include driving the development of innovative curricula, integrating emerging technologies into the learning experience, and enhancing the overall academic quality and relevance of Fielding’s programs.
“I am honored to serve Fielding in my new role as Dean of Curriculum and Innovation,” said Dr. Jacquin. “For the past 50 years, Fielding has paved the way for innovative scholarship and practice, and my new role will continue to apply evidence-based approaches to how we learn and collaborate. We will embrace emerging and new technologies, perspectives, and processes to incorporate into the next iteration of academic growth. These efforts will benefit new and prospective students, faculty, and the Fielding community. I am excited to see the growth we will achieve together.”
About Kathy D. Geller, Ph.D., Dean of Faculty
Kathy D. Geller, Ph.D., is a scholar-practitioner, with an extensive global career in academic leadership, teaching, transformative learning training, and leadership development. At Fielding Graduate University, her previous role was Program Director of the Human and Organization Development Programs since September 2021. Her prior appointments include several academic leadership roles, including Program Director, Ed.D. and Associate Clinical Professor at Drexel University and Associate Vice President for Organizational Effectiveness and Learning at Stanford University. For ten years, she lived in Asia and during that time she served as Vice President/Global Head of Management Development and Chief Curriculum Architect for a 70,000-person British financial services organization focused on Asia, Africa, and the Middle East; and was Founder and Managing Principal for Areté Leadership International Ltd, a consultancy whose clients included Microsoft, The United Nations, UBS Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Stanford University, and other organizations in Asia and the U.S. Dr. Geller is a proud Fielding alum (HOD’ 2004).
In addition to her leadership roles, Dr. Geller has served as a lecturer and faculty at several prominent institutions, including Drexel University, Nova Southeastern University, and Columbia University Teachers College. As an educator at heart, she is committed to supporting faculty members in guiding and inspiring students to achieve their educational dreams and reach their full potential.
About Kristine M. Jacquin, Ph.D., Dean of Curriculum and Innovation
Kristine M. Jacquin, Ph.D., is a distinguished psychologist and seasoned academic leader. At Fielding Graduate University, Dr. Jacquin has held several leadership roles, including Academic Program Director and Developer, Dean of the School of Psychology, and Dean of Student Development. In addition, throughout her nearly 14 years at Fielding, Dr. Jacquin has served as psychology faculty, supervising students’ research and teaching courses. Prior to Fielding, she was a tenured professor at Mississippi State University.
Leveraging her innovative approach and deep understanding of the education industry, Dr. Jacquin has developed several successful programs at Fielding, including the Applied Psychology PhD program and the Postbaccalaureate Certificate in Clinical Psychology. In addition to her academic leadership, she has maintained a private practice as a clinical psychologist since 2000, specializing in forensic and neuropsychological evaluations.
Dr. Jacquin’s commitment to student development, research, and graduate-level teaching is reflected in the achievements of her mentees and past students, who have won APA awards, presented at professional conferences, and published research in peer-reviewed journals.
